Custom Format for timestamps not working

I’m trying to add a custom format to a timestamp, but the input box is not holding any values I enter. E.g., I’ll try to enter ‘YYYY-MM-DD’ but the input disappears and the field is not formatted. This is for a column in a table visual

Hi @Nicolas and welcome back to the Community!

I have experienced the same issue and am stilling experiencing the same issue. I have attempted to relay this behavior to the Quick team, but what you can do is create a support ticket and through there, the unintended behavior can be further documented with the support team. Please refer to this resource on how to submit a support ticket (Case management - AWS Support).

Hi @Nicolas and @JacobR I used to face this issue if Ididnt set the DATE and TIME to CUSTOM before typing the ‘YYYY-MM-DD‘. Hope this helps

Hi @Nicolas ,

After further testing, even after setting the date and/or time to be custom, you will still experience the same issue. The current workaround that I found is to select one of the preset formatting options that is closest to what you want, and then when you go to the custom dropdown, you can delete the parts that you do not want. You cannot type anything in the custom box without the issue occurring, but you can delete the specific content in it. Then to save your custom format, simply click anywhere outside of the panel. I found that selecting ‘apply language format’ just resets the formatting, but clicking anywhere outside of that panel should still apply the formatting that you have set.

Thanks @JacobR and @Tanu_13 for the input here, at least reassuring to hear I’m not the only one. I’ll get a ticket in so hopefully this gets some more visibility
