I have a filter in the control bar using a field from a Direct Query dataset but when new data is added to the dataset the visuals are updated but the drop down list in the filter is not updated with those data values.
Hi @Declan_McCarthy,
Based on looking into previous posts with similar behavior, I would say this seems to be a current limitation with Direct Query datasets specifically. I would definitely recommend looking into the solution mentioned in this post, as it might help you for your use case. If not, please let us know and we can definitely see if there are other solutions/workarounds possible.
Thank you!

Hi Cesar, thanks for your response. I had a look at the information shared but it did mot look like a suitable solution. We are doing some testing imports at the moment and once the data is imported the options are not available for selection in the drop down bar for the filter in the control bar which is not suitable for the user.
Hi @Declan_McCarthy,
Hope everything is well! Just so I can understand your filter control a little better, do you have it set as a “Filter List”? If so, can you see the options populate before applying the filter? Feel free to share a screenshot of the filter control formatting if possible!
Thank you!
