Dashboard in English - how to translate to Chinese for Sheet Name, Title, SubTitle, Text, Column Name, Value Name? (NOT data)

From this post How to translate visual titles, filter names from en to selected language? - Q&A - Amazon Quick Community, it is saying to use Parameter Language (paramLang) for user to select English/Chinese. Then, it says create new parameters for the titles and the headers of the visuals in the analysis, the sheet name, visuals legends, and control labels. But it seems to be applicable for embedded dashboards.

How to translate to Chinese for Sheet Name, Title, SubTitle, Text, Column Name, Value Name for non-embedded dashboards?

HEllo lbl,

You may follow this blog - Build a multilingual dashboard with Amazon Athena and Amazon QuickSight | AWS Big Data Blog

Hope this helps.

@Deep the link you shared is for embedded dashboards. I am asking explicitly for non-embedded dashboards where users access dashboard directly from aws console.

Hello lbl,

No its not, you could create same and use via Quick console. Off course, you should be able to embed the same dashboard as well.

Thank you.

hi @Deep

It is explicitly stated embedded dashboard.

And the translation is done using Javascript.

Referring to post on same concern How to translate visual titles, filter names from en to selected language? - Q&A - Amazon Quick Suite Community, there is also NO solution.

Is duplicating the dashboards for diff languages the only way now?

Kindly confirm. Thanks!

Hello Lbl,

Its just saying that you could extend the solutions for embedding as well with the steps you have higlighted.

If you don’t want embedding thats fine and you may ignore that section. However. befor that section, the solutions is done within the Quick suite console only.

Hope this helps.

hi @Deep

Content before “Create parametric headers and titles for visuals for use in an embedded dashboard” is on DATA. My post is on JUST changing visual elements e.g. Title, Sheet name.

Hope this is clear.

Thanks.
