@Deep the link you shared is for embedded dashboards. I am asking explicitly for non-embedded dashboards where users access dashboard directly from aws console.
If you don’t want embedding thats fine and you may ignore that section. However. befor that section, the solutions is done within the Quick suite console only.
Content before “Create parametric headers and titles for visuals for use in an embedded dashboard” is on DATA. My post is on JUST changing visual elements e.g. Title, Sheet name.
As I’m sure you’ve tested out, you can adjust the language settings for your account from the menu in the top right corner. However, as you mentioned, there are certain items that don’t change, like the analysis title, or visual titles. This is because these are user created values, not set by the system. When you change the language, it adjusts all system aspects of text, however something manually created by a user will not change (like titles) because it assumes you named it something for a specific reason.
Reminder that assets like analysis and dashboard titles, are extremely relevant as they are used in urls. Having them adjust to different languages would make it difficult for that reasoning.
Manually set text values will need to be adjusted manually if you’d like them in a different language.
This means we need to duplicate analysis (already in English) to another analysis and amend to show Chinese. This will result in maintaining multiple copies of the same analysis in order to support different languages. There is NO out-of-the-box feature from QuickSight to support different languages. Is this understanding correct?
Quicksight does support different languages but changing the language in the context of titles for example is not possible natively without manual intervention. The article the Deep provided is a great resource to potentially get around it, but I do not think it the total solution that you are looking for.
If you would like, I can mark this post as a feature request to help increase visibility to the Quick team.
Just checking back in since we haven’t heard from you in a bit. I wanted to see if the guidance shared earlier helped resolve your question, or if you found a solution in the meantime.
If you still have any additional questions related to your initial post, feel free to share them. Otherwise, any update you’re able to provide within the next 3 business days would be helpful for the community.
Since I haven’t received any further updates from you, I’ll treat this inquiry as complete for now. If you have any additional questions, feel free to create a new post in the community and link this discussion for context.
