Hello
In tables and pivots there is an option to customize visual. It can be disabled by switching off ‘Reader Customizations‘ in analysis. However when I export dashboard to JSON file, there is no place that configures that. We are moving around dashboards across accounts in JSON format and it would be good idea to keep that configuration inside those.
Is there any programmatic way to disable those customizations?
I am not sure if there is explicitly any documentation pertaining to “Reader Customizations” toggling with an API call, but I would definitely recommend looking into this documentation, as there are some commands that might help you for setting permission handling on visual customization.
Thanks for helping me, unfortunately there is no mention about customizations - only disabling whole visual menu, which is overkill for it. However it would be good idea to add possibility to author to disable that if needed (just like maximize) as an visual option in publish settings. I think it counts as a feature request
That is definitely a fair point and thanks so much for sharing that idea. I will keep this post marked as a Feature Request so that someone from the AWS Team may address this matter in the future.
