Currently we can setup alerts on Dashboards on an individual user basis.
We recently did a small POC using this feature and the business users have shows interest in using this feature. They have SLAs related their operation and want Operation Managers to get an alert email (and they said possibly Text on their cell phone if possible!) when the SLA thresholds are breached.
Since the threshold definition is same but the recipients are many it makes sense to create the alert as an Admin/Author and setup the distribution list for the emails. I don’t see this being any different to how we send emails for dashboards on a schedule.
I think this would be a good to have feature.
