Feature Request - Donut Chart Improvements

I would like to request improvements to the donut chart visualization that include:

  • being able to drag pieces of the chart into locations that we desire. IE if your chart has A, B, C, D, I would like to be able to make the order read something else other than ascending/descending like A, C, B, D

  • Options to move the labels / allow the labels to overlap. On almost every donut chart (no matter how simple) the data labels are always cut off by the edge of the visualization or by the donut chart itself. These labels should be able to overlap over top of the donut chart, or be able to be moved around freely to a location where the label will clearly show.

  1. you can define a different order with an existing field or a new calculated field.

  2. there is already a overlap and a sample position option. But yes there is no “free positioning” option.

Hi Erik – even with the allow labels to overlap checkbox selected, the labels still do not show appropriately. Attaching a screenshot

not sure we can do anything with just the donot chart.
Maybe you could use a small table to show the element, color and value?
