Full refresh completed but 0 ingested rows

Hi Everyone,

I have a couple of datasets that were scheduled to have a full refresh everyday. Since November 7th, some of the datasets didn’t ingest any rows even though it says the refresh is completed.

HI @randy.pantinople ,

First of all welcome to the Quick Sight Community!

First, query your underlying table for that particular day to get a basic idea of the available data, and then compare it with the data after the full refresh.

The behavior of QuickSight is such that even if there are no records for that particular day, it will still refresh the table and indicate that the refresh has been completed.

Thanks & Regards

Hi @randy.pantinople

Its interesting to see that on two days the refresh did bring in data and they had a different timing than those cases where the result was 0 rows.

Presuming there are no changes in your dataset query/filter conditions this would indicate that when the scheduled refresh takes place your underlying dataset does not have data or is getting refreshed? So may be it is a timing issue. You expect that at 10 am EST you would have data but the underlying datasource is undergoing some changes?

Just a thought.

Hi @randy.pantinople ,

I’m marking Giridhar’s @Giridhar.Prabhu response as solution for now as what he has mentioned is the most likely cause for your issue.

If changing the ingestion schedule time doesn’t help, please let us know and we can explore further.
