We wanted to enable printEnabled option to be able to print and download the whole sheet. However, the print pdf is working but the ‘‘generate pdf’’ is failing all the time. On the download section I got ‘‘exports failed’’. Do you know why we have such problem ?
Let me mark this as an error. I would also suggest reaching out to support.
Here are the steps to open a support case. If your company has someone who manages your AWS account, you might not have direct access to AWS Support and will need to raise an internal ticket to your IT team or whomever manages your AWS account. They should be able to open an AWS Support case on your behalf. Hope this helps!
Thanks for your answer. Here I’m more wondering if anything special needs to be done from our side. to enable not only print option but also the generate PDF option. For instance, we are using Browser embedding and not SDK embedding. Can this be the source of the issue ?
Thanks @David_Wong, In our case we use this GenerateEmbedUrlForAnonymousUser as it’s mentionned in Quicksight AWS doc, that they highly recommend to use it as API operation instead of GetDashboardEmbedUrl.
@Max , Are you also using GenerateEmbedUrlForAnonymousUser ? or GetDashboardEmbedUrl ?
Sorry for writting you again for this case @Koushik_Muthanna. But our clients are using cashier report (a dashboard with many tables and sheets) of the POS and they need to download the whole sheets at the end of their sales. I hope you uderstand the ugrency of this. Thank you !
The generate PDF option is not supported for anonymous embedding. I believe the button was a bug which will be fixed.
The option to download individual visuals in different sheets is still possible.
download individual visuals is not really an option, we have a 4 sheets with many tables. The goal is to generate a complete paper at the end of the sales on the POS.
As I said above, the button works with print and not the ‘‘generate pdf option’’, and we’re already using it, so it would be great that at least we can have this option as an alternative.
May I ask please why the feature is not supported for anonymous embedding ? For me it’s not really something related to whether the user has Quicksight or not.
