I have the fields client, component, environment, platform, and project — all of them are string type.
I created a parameter called “TipoTag” and added a control with these values.
However, when I try to create a calculated field to link my chart with this parameter, I keep getting an error.
What is the correct way to set up a calculated field that connects the chart with the parameter?

How are you trying to utilize this calculated field in your visual? Based on your parameter selection, are you trying to assign the specified value as either the x or y axis?
Are you using another calculated field that recognizes which field is chosen in your parameter to run the calculations off of? If so, could you share that calc. field as well?
Last, what type of visual are you trying to create? Feel free to include some additional screenshots to further explain the scenario.
