How to hide the first column that is unusable and takes up space:
Please refer the below documentation and community posts this might be helpful for you.
Hi @Xclipse, thanks for answer. Unfortunately none of this documentation helped me. If you notice, these first columns don’t have fields selected for them, they just exist for no real reason. They appeared when I inverted the X and Y axis of the visual table
Thanks for sharing! Could I see what the whole visual looks like? It may be a limitation due to the hiding fields but would be helpful to see the whole visual.
Yes it´s possible. Note that the first field below the title is blank, invisible. And this takes up space that is important to me, and I need to make the title closer to the fields I’m actually using
This occurs when I change the axis of the columns. QuickSight simply creates these invisible fields. It’s a table visual
Thank you explaining the issue and sharing the screenshots.
I believe the following community post will be really helpful for you.
Hi @Xclipse , thanks for ask again. Unfortenelly, I can’t match the same visual with pivot tables. If I change axis pivot tables broken all my visual, so I need to use the table visual chart instead. is there no other way to hide this first column instead of the text box with the hidden title chart ?
I’m out of ideas. Sorry, currently this is not possible but I’m marking this for feature request. At AWS, their roadmap is primarily driven by customers. Your feedback helps them build a better service. I have tagged this as a feature request. More features are being added on a regular basis, so please keep an eye on the What’s New / Blog . You can set up a Watching Alert by clicking on the bell icon.
You could look to opening up a case with AWS and see if they can provide a solution.
Here are the steps to open a support case . If your company has someone who manages your AWS account, you might not have direct access to AWS Support and will need to raise an internal ticket to your IT team or whomever manages your AWS account. They should be able to open an AWS Support case on your behalf. Hope this helps!
Thank you!
