Here I created parameter and added to the visual title

If I added the parameter to the visual title it will show default parameter value like below

Here my task is by default we have to show the column record (Dev) in the parameter then we have to show it in visual title. Is there any way to show the column record in the visual title by default. Any one please help on this how to achieve this

Hi @Rajeshkommi ,

You can set the default value of your parameter as Dev, then the header will reflect the same.
What is the current default value of the parameter?

Thanks,
Prantika

Hi @prantika_sinha thanks for your response,
but in my case if we promote the dashboard into test region, then the record in the field (Env) also changed to ‘Test’ (Dev to Test), in test environment we have to show title as like below

Hi @Rajeshkommi,
It’s been awhile since last communication on this thread. Are you still encountering the same issue or were you able to find a work around?
Are you saying that you need your default value to be different depending on your environment? If so, I don’t believe that is currently possible. You may need to create a separate parameter for each, one with default as ‘Dev’ and one with default as ‘Test’ and use accordingly.

If you have any additional questions feel free to let us know. If we do not hear back within the next 3 business days, I’ll go ahead and close this topic.

Hi @Brett,
Thanks for your response. My issue not resolved. I have to show with single parameter based on the environment Dev/Test/Preprod/Prod the value in the record will changes automatically in the source, based on that we have to show it in the visual title by default without manual selection in the parameter.

Hi @Rajeshkommi,
It seems to me like Prantika’s suggestion of setting the default value of your parameter to Dev would be the only way to have it show by default in the control and title.

You said that for your case, if you ‘promote the dashboard to test region’ then it would show ‘Test’ instead of ‘Dev’. For that though, you would need to setup another parameter that defines what environment your dashboard is being set to. Otherwise, Quick Sight would have no way of defining how to setup the control default for a given environment as it would not know which environment is operating on.

Let me know if you have any additional questions or if I’m understanding your use case incorrectly.
