As the title states, how can I get this visual to update within salesforce? I’m able to download the actual report by exporting it but I can’t get the report to visually refresh/appear

Welcome to the Quick Community! I believe this behavior could be occurring because, unlike dashboards, paginated reports are essentially manual snapshots like PDF’s. You might be able to get it to stay embedded on the page by setting up a form of recurring schedule refresh via the native export API calls.
If you have not already, I would also try looking at the embedding processes within this documentation, as that could help you get rid of your issue (or at least indicate why that message is popping up in your case).

If everything with your embedded report is set up well, and/or you are unable to find any relevant processes based on the documentation, I do not believe there is any other native workaround. Just in case though, I would definitely recommend creating a support ticket with AWS Support, as they may be able to guide you further on how to handle your use case.
