I am having data of few states in India , wanted to visualize customer returns state wise on a map, is it possible to add a calculated field on the data which shows latitude and longitude and then visualize map for India.

There is no calculation in quicksight for a conversion of state → latitude and longitude.

My guess is that you would need to hardcode the values in an ifelse at the dataset level.

The reason you need to do it at the dataset level would be because you can edit the data type there.
