I want to know if there is any possibility to create an icon or assign a tooltip to an image with custom content, something that the user can hover over to get more information about the displayed value.

It’s a bit complicated and not really satisfying.
As tooltip is only available for some visuals i used a bar chart with one value and a tooltip.
If a workaround would be to click something there is an better option. You could use an image to click on and show/hide the infobox.
Got it, I really need the tooltip in the custom visual element. I did some research and from what I understand it’s not possible.
Yeah you need the text as a field within the same dataset as the visual.
