Is it possible to upload data from a Macro-Enabled Excel (.xlsm) file?

Hi, I have a macro-enabled excel file (.xlsm) which is saved on our network (WorkDocs). Using this excel file as the data source I have created a Power BI dashboard only to find that the organisation has moved away from Power BI and so I am unable to publish it.

I would like to try to re-create the dashboard in Quick Sight however I am unable to upload a macro-enabled excel file (.xlsm) as the only supported file format is (.xlsx) which is very strange. Has anyone come across this problem?

Hi Mazen, Quicksight doesn’t support .xlsm file type. I tried using my account that the .xlsm file never shown up in the list when I add new dataset. But when I rename the file to .xlsx, it can upload correctly (although the Macro is still active). So you can try to change the file extension and try, if you don’t mind.
