Happy birthday QuickSight Community! We are celebrating 2 years! Since we launched, we are seeing hundreds of thousands of visits a month, answers to thousands of searchable questions have been posted (and answered by experts), and our Learning Series is running every week across the globe. An events calendar has been added, and 300+ learning resources have been posted (how to videos and articles, getting started guides, blogs, and what’s new posts). In the last year we launched monthly Immersion Days, a Developer Corner for learning about embedded analytics, Arena an embedded instance of QuickSight and its Gallery, a Q Corner on generative BI offerings in QuickSight, learning dashboards by persona, and Japanese Q&A and content! We’ve loved seeing the winners of our Partner-led Viz Challenges, and getting to know our those in our Partner-led user groups! We are so grateful to our global team of BI SMEs, experts, solution architects, partners and community members who have made it a fantastic year!
Thank you for being the Community of Amazon QuickSight!
We can’t wait to see what the next year has in store!
I love the Q&A and Demo Central sections of the QuickSight Community! They have allowed me to learn new ways to approach problems, and elevate my overall QuickSight capabilities.
I would love to see some QuickSight visual competitions. It would be a fun way to intact with the community and to put my QuickSight knowledge to the test.
Happy 2-year Birthday QuickSight Community!
Awesome! Thank you @Kelseykl for sharing this fantastic feedback. We will be reaching out to you with our next competition. Would love to have you showcase your skills in our new Arena Gallery!
This is great. The Q/A section has helped me a lot on how to improve my skills. I would like to see a lot more discussion around Amazon Q as this has been a ask from all the customers.
We have created a Q Corner that we hope will be helpful to you and your customers. We would like to build out the Q Corner – so feel free to message me any recommendations you have – or we can set up call to discuss.
I love the ease of access to resources in the QS community. There is great engagement and interaction where I can solve most of my inquiries through the community. I also really enjoy being able to attend the learning series each week!
I love this community since I started working on QS. I learned a lot of stuff and solved mostly of my problems. I would like to have a meet and greet session during re:invent
Love building Quicksight Dashboards for providing meaningful insight to the great State of Idaho gov. Love great training resources on Quicksight. Love to learn more about building Dashboards using scripts . Love to learn more about easy way to build and apply different themes and make great looking dashboards.
The community was a place where I could look for quick tips and tricks. Being a pure novice to the creating dashboards I found alot of information that helped me when I had some easy and difficult questions.
I love the weekly learning series and monthly new feature deep dive webinars! They provide a great opportunity for continuing learning and insight into the latest updates.
I also really enjoy the Demo Central - an incredibly helpful tool to explore and practice with.
I would love to see more webinars and guides on best practices when it comes to setting up and maintaining an enterprise-scale BI solution. There are some learning series on best practices in some areas, but it would be great to have a comprehensive guide that encompasses all areas (security, data, user permissions, dashboards, dev-QA-Prod environments, architecture, etc.) and would serve as a one-stop-shop for launching and maintaining enterprise-scale solutions.
I have found answers from the QS community. However, I typically find the answer (even if within the QS Community) by searching from Google. Maybe I just need to better understand “where” to look.
Happy Birthday! The Community Q&A and the Learning Series webinars have been very helpful in getting up to speed with QuickSight. Keep up the great job you are doing for the Community. I look forward to the future sessions and seeing the QuickSight Community continue to grow and improve.
I first started using QuickSight a few years ago & so appreciate that the Community members are so active and responsive to questions.
Over the next year, it would be great to see members who are early adopters of new features discuss how and why they chose to use those features, what they were able to improve, and how those features helped them to solve challenges.
So glad to hear this @taustin! Thank you for attending our weekly learning series and for taking advantage of our learning resources! Glad they are helping you remove blockers!
Let us know how we can continue to improve --or if there are other things you would like to see!
Sounds good @EJRD! So glad the community is helping you on your learning journey! Great feedback regarding holding a meet and greet session at re:Invent. We had a Breakfast Club there last year that we posted on the Community. We hop to be able to do that again in 2024! – thanks for this feedback!
Awesome @knaresh7! Great to hear how the resources are helping you. I am passing your recommendation (easy ways to build and apply themes and make great looking dashboards) along to the team that plans our learning series and monthly learning opportunities.
Thanks for all your feedback @irynad! Love the ideas you have shared regarding best practices webinars. I will pass these along to the team that plans our weekly QuickSight learning series and our monthly learning events. They are always looking for new ideas on what to present – and we love getting customer feedback. Thanks so much!
Hey @Chris_Doherty This is really great feedback. We are actually evaluating our UI/UX right now. Would love to hear more about your experiences – so will message you directly. Would love to hear more of your ideas.
