I have month wise data and actual values assigned to it.
Now, I want to create a KPI visual where I want to show the trend line of the actuals, how it’s doing month over month.
Also keep the Primary KPI value to current month - September and secondary as previous month - August, as I am reporting in October.
Could you please share if this is something possible in QuickSight?
If yes, how to?
Few issues I ran into: I don’t have September onwards data, so the graph is looking wonky. What do I do to make it look right? Some KPI values are showing from Aug to Sept, some random are Sept to Aug. Not sure why.
Primary KPI values keep changing - for some KPI visuals, it’s showing me Sept values, for other its showing me Aug.
I want to keep primary values to Sept.
my KPI has VALUE: actual field and TrendGroup as Month Aug, Sept and so on..
Could you share a sample of what the dataset structure looks like? Additionally, maybe you could share a screenshot to highlight the current state of your visual as well what’s incorrect about it.
Also, confirming that your month field is setup as a date datatype? If you set the aggregation type to ‘Month’, it should pull your prior month for the trend group.
