I am very sorry for this basic question, but I am new to quicksight and have a question about data source permission.
My colleague has the option “from an existing data source” and I have tried to connect to the data the same way, but this option does not show up for me.
I can’t connect to other aws resources either.
I am assuming that I am currently missing some Permission/account role to access the data source.
( Also, by the way, I am missing the “manage QuickSight” button in my profile).
Could you confirm my understanding about this matter is correct?
If so, could you please tell me what is missing and what steps I need to take to get the access to data sources?

Can you please tell me if I should ask my colleagues to share the data source with me through some procedure or if I should ask my IAM account to be authorized by a manager or other person to access the data source?
