Pixel perfect report output in pdf is truncated, but visible in the QS analysis

I am creating a pixel perfect report in paper size A3 (landscape).

  • A time series graph visual is carefully sized in the quicksight analysis to fit a specific pixel dimension.

However, when a report is exported to PDF the dates get truncated (this visual consist of 3 visuals superimposed on top of each other to create conditional formatting of colors)

Is there a way to expect exactly the same visual in PDF as in the analysis?

Hi @k.chuang and welcome to the QuickSight community!
Normally when this type of resizing behavior happens, it will resize all visuals to adapt to the pdf or print size set, so this is interesting that it only looks to be happening on the bottom visual; I wonder if it’s linked to overlapping. Have you tested with only one layer of the visual to see if it still truncates the dates?

The specific pixel dimensions that you’ve assigned, were those based on the printing dimensions or are they required to be a certain size for the analysis view?
Have you tried adjusting the visual down slightly in width to see if it holds on to those visual size settings?

Hi @k.chuang,

Hope this message finds you well! Just wanted to check back in since this thread hasn’t received a response in a while. Were you able to try out Brett’s recommendations and/or find an overall solution to your question? If we do not receive a response in the next 3 business days, I’ll close out of this topic.

Thanks!
