Table View for Dashboard and Email

I have created a Table which includes text, In Analysis I can expand and view the full table but when I create a dashboard or send an email, it doesn’t show the full table, cuts out a few columns on the right.
Is it possible to view the full dashboard and send that out in a PDF ?

Hello @faiskay,

Welcome to the QuickSight community, it is great having you here!

That is possible using Pixel Perfect Reporting.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Andres, I am using Pixel Perfect reporting for the report. In the Analysis I can expand and see the full report with columns but in the dashboard view, it cuts out a few colums on the right.

Great, I am not sure why those are being cut on the Dashboard.

You can manage the different page sizes and margins In Sheet Layout

It is strange that you can see them in the Analysis and not in the dashboard, do you mean you can see them by scrolling? Since in tables when you add more columns than what fit in the page then you will just have a scrolling bar.

Yes so In Analyses, I have to scroll to go to the end of the report but when I try and create a dashboard or send an email attachment, its cutting out the columns on the right.

If that is the case, then you will need to get more space for the columns so they all fit in the analysis without the need to scroll.

You can try reducing the size of the cell text to be able to make the cell smaller or just select a bigger paper size, or by making the left and right margins smaller or 0 and then expanding the table until you can see all the columns in the Analysis.

Once I expand the view, I can see the full report in Analysis. The rows have a long text field which is making the report longer, however still visible when expanded. The only issue is with Dashboard and Email, where it doesn’t show the full report.

If it helps I can share my screen for you take a look.

@faiskay,

As we discussed, the problem that you were not seeing the changes you made was because the sheet with the report was pointing to the first report you ran. To see the changes you made in the analysis, you need to rerun the report to see the changes.

Kind regards,
Andres.

Thanks Andres, after making the adjustments you suggested and re-running the report, it came out in the correct format.

Thank you for your help.

Faisal
