Points Map - points are not showing anymore_v2

Continuing the discussion from Points Map - points are not showing anymore:

Hi,

the maps just do not work. in my original map, I can see the map, but no points.
when I create a new visual with the same attributes, I can see the bubbles, but no map.

That makes me think that this is a bug in Quicksight itself. How can we fix this?

the left map is the new visual. I can only see the points. the right map is the original one which shows the map, but no points. the attributes (long, lat, routes) are the same.

and by the way: the original map used to work fine. since some weeks ago not anymore.

To rule some things out:

  1. when you zoom out on either map do you see any other points of data, for example maybe the points on the map are just in wrong place?
  2. Did anything change in your long and lat fields from the time it was working to now? Quicksight only works with numeric long/lat.
  3. Are you using any calculated fields in the your field wells?

Ultimately this may need to be an AWS support ticket but there may be something we can try to find a workaround.

To follow up, I suggest creating a support ticket for this.

Here are the steps to open a support case. If your company has someone who manages your AWS account, you might not have direct access to AWS Support and will need to raise an internal ticket to your IT team or whomever manages your AWS account. They should be able to open an AWS Support case on your behalf.
