We have not pushed any updates to our dashboards in the last week, however when we look at our dashboards, that are currently exposed to external customers embedded in the UI, all of visuals that contain fields that have been formatted to show as a percent are now displaying as decimals:
Hello @krushmere
When you look at the analysis that publishes to that dashboard, do you see the issue there and have the fields formatting settings been reset?
It shows formatted as a percent but we’re still seeing them only as a decimal in both the analysis and the published dashboard. We do not appear to be the only customers noticing this change. We are just noticing it today but we have seen previous posts from 3 days ago reporting similar issues:
Formatting of Fields not working - Multiple Analysis - #2 by Str - 3 days ago
Urgent! Formatting issues in Quicksight! - 7 hrs ago
Also seeing formatting issues where we have set a field to currency and it’s now just showing as a decimal with no ‘$’ symbol.
These are both occurring for calculated and non-calculated fields
Hey @krushmere
My recommendation is to create an AWS support ticket so they know that something is broken. That would be the fastest way to alert the Quick Sight team.
Here are the steps to open a support case. If your company has someone who manages your AWS account, you might not have direct access to AWS Support and will need to raise an internal ticket to your IT team or whomever manages your AWS account. They should be able to open an AWS Support case on your behalf.
