Q&A from the Live session | Creating Dynamic Content with Custom Narratives

Q: Does it also work for calculated fields?
A: So calculated fields doesn’t use computations, so the the output from those computations you can’t use in the same way in calculated fields, it relies more on the underlying data, data sets and then you can use, but it does use the same operators and the same functions as well, and you can also use parameters which we didn’t touch on today. So it uses the same parameters, same functions, but it doesn’t use computations in the same way that insight narratives does.

Q: I have had a hard time when I added images directly to the dashboard. I get scroll bar if it is too big and try to resize.
A: It’s easier on you as the author to have to to make sure that the image is the right size in the source, but, if you’re using the analysis format I think it’s grid or something like that, but the default is more dynamic depending on the the viewport, the screen size that’s been used. So I would avoid that but if you do want to have very prescriptive, you know, pixel perfect, we can change that in the the layout for the analysis, and you can select pixel perfect. You can place everything exactly where you want it to stay and to be when your end so that every end user is viewing it in the same way. But that obviously is not so great when you’re viewing it on mobile or small screens or very big screens.
I would recommend you keep the source image, suitable for most few ports and then adapt it as you need it.
