Would like to understand Quicksight pricing when using anonymous user for below scenarios:
Hosting application gets Quicksight embedded url by calling an api and display as link. User session starts on when user clicks the link. Is the understanding correct?
User navigates to Quicksight visual and is inactive in the page for more than 30 mins. Does it cause a session time out and application need to regenerate the url by calling the api.
Hi @lekshmi.ar - Welcome to AWS QuickSight community and thanks for posting the question. Can you please see the details on QuickSight pricing in the below blog.
It contains a temporary bearer token. It is valid for 5 minutes after it is generated. Once redeemed within this period, it cannot be re-used again. β What does this temporary bearer token and 5 minutes signify ?
The URL validity period should not be confused with the actual session lifetime that can be customized using the SessionLifetimeInMinutes parameter. The resulting user session is valid for 15 minutes (minimum) to 10 hours (maximum). The default session duration is 10 hours.
β If SessionLifetimeInMinutes is set as 10 hrs, but user uses the dashboard for less than 30 mins, will we be charged for one session or 10 hr session?
β For anonyumus use embedddeing if user is inactive in dashboard for 25 mins and perform an action at 25th min, will the session get automatically extend for next 30 mins.
