QuickSight User Pricing

Hello!

Wanted to clarify, when we have a user pricing and it’s saying the monthly price for a user is X$ (depending on the role), even if the user was deleted in the middle of the month, the price will be X$, correct?

There are two questions I would like to ask:

  1. What will be the user price for some specific month if the user joined not in the beginning of this month, but later?
  2. What will be if the user was present until the two weeks of the month, then was deleted and then was added again. What for that month will happen with the user cost?

From a pricing perspective, users are charged at a prorated rate.

For example, Authors are charged at a prorated rate when you add them in the middle of a billing period. However, they are charged until the end of the billing period if you delete them during the billing period.

If you need further clarity on this, kindly reach raise a support case.

Here are the steps for opening a support ticket - Creating support cases and case management - AWS Support . If your company has someone who manages your AWS account, you might not have direct access to AWS Support and will need to raise an internal ticket to your IT team or whomever manages your AWS account. They should be able to open an AWS Support case on your behalf.

Thanks a lot for you reply! Given the information you given, for the second question I asked the cost for the user will be full monthly price (because the user existed from the beginning of the month) + then prorated rate from when the user re-joined and it doesn’t matter that this is the same user, correct?

My understanding is that it will be full month price since the user existed from the beginning of the month. Having send this, kindly valide this from the QS billing team by opening as suport case.
