Hi team!
I’m sorry if this was already asked. I browsed around and could not find the answer.
I created an analysis based on an excel file. but I had to re-arrange the columns, the data remains the same, it is just in different order. I get an error “Fields out of order”
Hi Deep!
Thanks for the response. I updated my file, but the issue I have is not been able to to update the order of the dateset columns.
My dataset is set to my former excel file order… The data is the same, but the columns are now in different order. So, i just need to move these columns around so both the dataset and new file match. For example, my former column B is now column D…etc. Sorry if I’m confusing you and thank you!!
Yes, this has been an issue for me as well. It’s quite frustrating when you have a dataset already linked to an analysis and the dataset gets updated or changed—especially when new columns are added or old ones are removed. If those changes affect columns in the middle of the dataset, it completely disrupts the upload process, causing issues across the entire analysis. It essentially forces you to maintain a strict dataset schema and ensure that any new columns are added at the end of the dataset. I have not found a different way of fixing this to be honest.
What makes this really tough is discovering the issue halfway through an analysis, as it often means starting over with a new dataset from scratch.
