Regarding the quick sight

We are connected two different database and they goes on the spice mode we want to create in direct query

Hi @Sweety180,

Thank you for posting.

When you create or edit a dataset on Amazon QuickSight, you can choose to use either SPICE or a direct query, unless the dataset contains uploaded files. Importing (also called ingesting ) your data into SPICE can save time and money.

You can edit your dataset to use direct query since it has been created.

But when we create a dataset for a direct query then it automatically goes to spice why it goes to spice l??
We want to create only for direct query only

Hi @Sweety180,

Please can you review this documentation on how to release full SPICE capacity.

@Sweety180

flat files and datasets originating in different data sources go to Spice mode automatically because that’s the only intermediary stage to join data coming from different sources. If the datasets originate in the same data source/ database then you should be able to switch between Spice and direct Query.

Hope it helps,
