Report Portal

Could i please get some guidance or a contact person who can assist me with creating a report portal using the Dashboards page in QuickSight?

What i would like to achieve is to make the page user-friendly by:

  1. Grouping a series of reports into categories or report families, each represented by a clickable icon that expands to show the list of reports under it

  2. Adding a search functionality (if possible) to help users quickly find reports

  3. Including a Teams logo and other branding elements for a more professional look

I have been able to design a similar setup on a report cover page using the insert buttons and navigation links, but i would like to replicate this functionality on the main dashboard page.

I would really appreciate a guide or reference materials, or if possible, a QuickSight expert contact who would provide direction on how to build this.

Thank you.

Hi @Olaitan,

You can explore folders for grouping properties that line up in the same ‘families’; or even more useful, the new spaces feature expands on the ability to create a centralized area of knowledge surrounding a specific topic.
Additionally, the new chat agents feature can assist with these types of requests through the use of natural language making it very user friendly:

When you mention ‘reports’, what do you mean in the sense of Quick if not referring to dashboards?
While this can be accessed from anywhere, not only the dashboard page in particular, there is a search feature in the top left that allows users to quickly find the assets they’re looking for.

Regarding a team logo, there are customization options within Quick that allow you to add company logos:

Additionally, another new feature that has recently been added is the ability to add visuals to your home page; so if there are specific visuals that are important to each user, they can add those visualizations to their home page and receive updated information upon login or navigating to their home page.
Users can also ‘favorite’ certain assets including dashboards, so there are a few different ways that users’ can already customize their experience.

Last thing I’ll mention is that if you would like to design your own ‘launch page’ per say, you can also dive deeper into the option of embedding your Quick experience, which allows you to design something that would be more specific to your needs:

Hi,

Apologies for the late response, and thank you very much. I found the links really useful.
