I have fields in a SPICE dataset that have different names in the Direct Query dataset used to report transactions. An example of this is Patient ID in the SPICE dataset and Cardholder ID in the DQ dataset. If a dashboard consumer clicks a particular patient ID in a top 10 bar chart which uses the SPICE dataset, I need a table that uses the DQ dataset to filter on the transactions for that Patient ID, but Cardholder ID is the column for that in the DQ dataset. How can I get them to map as I do not see any options within the Analysis to do this? It only shows the fields which are already mapped.
Hello TraderRef,
I am currently investigating this and will revert.

Hello TraderRef,
To get the fields to map properly, follow instructions in below doc. Section Mapping fields:
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/quicksuite/latest/userguide/mapping-and-joining-fields.html
As an alternative, I’d like to direct you to our detailed solution in the AWS Big Data Blog, specifically focusing on Use Case 2: filtering across multiple datasets.
This guide provides step-by-step instructions on:
• Setting up parameters for cross-dataset filtering
• Implementing control elements
• Configuring filter interactions between visuals

If we don’t hear back within the next 3 business days, we’ll proceed with close/archive this topic.
Thank you!
I had to open a support case and showed them the behavior and they agreed that something is not working correctly. They escalated and got someone else involved who observed it, as well, and are still working with me on it.
