I have a requirement, where for a set of particular visuals I have added a filter and checked only particular company’s I want the visuals to show data for. And now I want to add this filter as a control - dropdown, but when add this it shows all values. I only want it to show those company names that I selected from the filter. Any idea how I can achieve this?
Thank you for solution, but I am afraid this would not work, because my dataset keeps on changing. And the control dropdown added from the filter should only show the selected values.
In the filter, I have selected (ticked) elements I don’t want to see in my visuals. The unticked elements are the ones which get displayed in my visuals. Now when I add this filter as a control dropdown, it shows me these as ticked. When I do unselect all and then again a select all. Everything is shown in the visuals which leads to confusion as to which we did not want to see.
The select all will bring all the values even though you have only specific values in the dropdown.
Can you test the following [Include Filter for values you want to see , Exclude filter for values that should not be shown , Filter control with only values which can be selected ]
