Skip null rows in pivot table hierarchy

My pivot table analysis from a single row of data that looks like this:

asset_id levelonemanageremail leveltwomanageremail levelthreemanageremail levelfourmanageremail levelfivemanageremail levelsixmanageremail levelsevenmanageremail leveleightmanageremail levelninemanageremail leveltenmanageremail devmanager count
1447924873522822490 john_doe@example.com john_doe@example.com john_doe@example.com john_doe@example.com null null null null null null john_doe@example.com 22

I’m having a hard time skipping the pivot table rows with null values. It makes the visualisation look really ugly. I’ve tried a bunch of things but I can’t seem to figure out how to do this. Any help on this is much appreciated.

TIA!

Hi @quicksight-user001,
Have you tried setting up a filter for each field to exclude nulls?

I’ve tried this but the entire rows of data which has null value from the dataset disappears.
I guess I need to apply this filter on the pivoted row instead of the actual row.

Hi @quicksight-user001,
It’s been awhile since last communication, did applying the filter on the pivoted row as opposed to actual row work for your case or did you have any additional questions?

If we do not hear back within the next 3 business days, I’ll close out this topic.

Thank you!
