Spaces permissions admin

What’s the right path to request admin access to a space that’s no longer managed by its original owner? Can the manager raise a TT to get access?

Hi, Could you please elaborate a bit more on “no longer managed by its original owner”? Has the owner left the company?

Hi, no longer active but technically not left the company yet. Thanks

Hi Alise,

If the “space” owner has shared the space (edit rights) with quicksight admin or any other user, then he should be able to share the space further with other users. However, if it was a completely private space owned only by a single user (not even shared with the quicksight admin) then I see limited possiblity here. I would recommend raising an AWS support case to check if the support can help out here. Otherwise the only option I would see is to recreate the space with the data files (if you have access to them).

Thank you so much for the info. Looking through TTs now but don’t see any relevant CTI. Would you by any chance know which team and/or CTI should I be using? Thanks a lot!

Hi Alise,

You can raise the ticket to “Technical Support” –> Quicksight –> General Guidance.
