I need to understand whether it allows me to tag the Group who are the owners of this SPICE data sets that keeps getting refreshed every now and then.
Can I tag a cost centre and view this in the Quicksight’s CUR dashboard.
QuickSight supports tagging individual users with cost centers (e.g., “Finance”), which tracks SPICE dataset refresh costs tied to their activities in AWS Cost and Usage Reports (CUR). Groups aren’t directly taggable, but you can tag users within them for indirect attribution.
Tag users via AWS CLI (tag-resource) or console with keys like costcenter. Activate in AWS Billing (24-48 hours for CUR propagation as resource_tags_user_costcenter). SPICE refresh costs link to user resource IDs in CUR, no direct dataset/group tagging exists.
