The controls in my analysis won't stay where I set them

Hello,

I have a dashboard where I’m comparing time periods side by side. I have the filters for both visuals pinned to the top of the tab as controls. The controls all start with either view 1 or view 2. I have set the layout to show view 1 controls over the top of view 1 (the left two columns) and view 2 controls to display over view 2 (the right two columns). Once I publish, this order stays for a few days, but inevitably they go back to being mixed without any interaction from me. Is there a way I can force these filters to stay in place in the control panel at the top? My stakeholders would prefer them to be there as opposed to within the tab itself.

Hi @misha_lia03,

Nice seeing you back in the Quick Community! Just to make sure I fully understand, are you saying the controls on top of the visuals are moving out of position? Either way, could you please send an Arena view of your analyses (with mock data if needed)? This would be greatly appreciated as this will help me see if I can find an explanation for this occurrence.

Thank you!

Hi @misha_lia03,

Following up here as it’s been awhile since last communication took place on this thread; we would still like to help further but need some additional information for clarity.

In relation to your controls within the control panel, you can set them to a desired order, which will save in place, however using the control panel will still require them to be in some type of ‘block formation’ where they click in to place next to each other.
Unfortunately, there’s currently no way to edit or adjust the control panel, and any controls you place in the panel, will snap into a designated space on its’ own.

I will mark this as a feature request to promote visibility to the support team in reference to added customization to the control panel.
If you are asking about something different, please provide some additional information on what you’re referring to!
