I have a map visual in Amazon QuickSight configured with two dimensions, one size field, and one color field. I am attempting to display five rows in the tooltip—two with unique values and three with aggregated (SUM) values. However, only four rows are displayed in the tooltip, and among the aggregated measures, only two appear with the SUM aggregation.
The fifth measure does contain valid data, but it does not appear in the tooltip. When I reorder the measures, the newly moved measure becomes visible, while the measure that is then last in the list is not displayed. This behavior consistently occurs regardless of which measure is placed last.
Could you please confirm whether this is a known limitation of map visual tooltips in Amazon QuickSight? If so, is there any recommended workaround or configuration to display more than four measures in the tooltip?
QuickSight tooltips can display up to 10 fields maximum. However, the behavior you’re experiencing—where only 4 measures appear in your map visual tooltip despite having 5 configured—suggests there may be an additional constraint specific to map visuals or when combining dimensions with aggregated measures which i am not aware of.
