Is there a way to track usage by tab? I am trying to find ways to see which tabs I can start to deprecate from my dashboard.

I own a dashboard that is used by over +300 people. I want to be able to see which tabs people are using the most, so I can continue to build on my analysis and also delete any of the tabs that are not being used by anyone.

Makes sense. One more question:
Is clicking on a tab considered that it is being used or some other actions, time spent etc.?

We don’t have such usage tracking right now. Will add this to our new feature request list.

There is no option to do reporting on QuickSight natively.

The team might be building out a product for this but it is not released yet.

We have used CloudTrail information to do reporting for what you are asking.

The process we did was dump CloudTrail data to S3, query with Athena, and then report in quicksight.

can you share which specific cloud trail events describe usage data at the tab level? I’m familiar with the GetDashboard event, but that only provides usage at the dashboard level AFAIK.

I don’t think there is an ability, as of now, to show that.
