I have created multiple namespaces and each namespace has more than one Quicksight users. Same email ID can be used to create different users in different namespaces. But I noticed that somehow there is a duplicate entry in the same namespace meaning, there are two entries with same username, same ARN, same PrincipalId within the same namespace. I am trying to delete that user. I tried deleting using regular delete-user CLI command also tried delete-user-by-principal-id cli command. Both gave me a status of 200 but when I run the list-users on that namespace, I can still see two entries of the same username. I tried --debug options, which did not gave me any useful insight. I compared the --debug values with a successful delete and this delete and still nothing strike out. Need help in deleting this user please.

Thank you for letting us know. I would recommend filing a case with AWS Support where we can dive into the details so that we can help you further. Here are the steps to open a support case. If your company has someone who manages your AWS account, you might not have direct access to AWS Support and will need to raise an internal ticket to your IT team or whomever manages your AWS account. They should be able to open an AWS Support case on your behalf.
