Using Date Hider filter on Non-Date visuals

Greetings,
Some time back I had raised a question for Y-o-Y calculations and was directed to Date Hider solution in the following post:

This solution is working perfectly fine with my YoY visual but if I use the Date hider as the filter control, then any other visual in my analysis that doesn’t use the date filter is broken. For example if I have a pie chart which can normally be filtered by the original date column, it throws the following error on using the date hider:

My question is, is there any workaround to make the non-date visuals work with the date hider? Because if not, then I will have to keep two date filters, one to work with just the YoY visual, and another for all the others.

Hi @vkedia, yes, unfortunately, you would need to maintain two separate date filters. Let’s see if anyone else has other suggestions.

I understand, thanks! If there is a complete alternative to the date hider for the YoY comparison, open to that as well.
