One of our users said she didn’t have access to the ‘add schedule’ button under schedules on a dashboard. This user is an author. Developers have made all of the dashboards and they’ve been shared with her. Someone, and I don’t know how, then made it so she could see the ‘add schedule’ button on one dashboard but not all the others. Is there a setting where I can do this manually like in the CLI or something? Is there a way to make it so that an author can see the ‘add schedule’ button on all dashboards by default? I’m new to Quicksight and trying to figure this all out.
I have one dashboard that this user can add a schedule to. I went in just now and verified she is just a viewer in the share dashboard section. How is she able to add schedules to this with only being a viewer? I made a new dashboard and as a viewer she wasn’t able to add a schedule to that either. I then changed her to be a co-owner and she could add a schedule. Changed her back to viewer and then she couldn’t add schedule again. Not sure how she is able to do this on one dashboard I mentioned above. Help!
The observation on the new dashboard is in line with what is expected.
Regarding the behavior on the old dashboard, I will recommend you to open up a support case to debug this further.
Here are the steps to open a support case so that we can help you further: Creating support cases and case management - AWS Support . If your company has an internal IT team, you might not have direct access to AWS Support and will need to raise an internal ticket to your IT team. They’ll open an AWS Support case on your behalf.
