I’m seeking the ability to share a custom chat agent widely across our organization while restricting user access to the confidential documents in the Space linked to that agent. Specifically, I want users to interact with the agent and benefit from its custom instructions and capabilities without being able to view, search, or access the underlying sensitive materials in the associated Space.

This is not possible because other users need to have access to Spaces in order to retrieve that respective information from your custom chat agent. If you need to have a chat agents shared across multiple users, I would recommend, if possible, to only attach Spaces with no sensitive information.

@gerstell When you create a chat agent for the purpose of sharing it’s configuration without any particular data the best mechanism is to leave it without any associated space.
When the user selects a chat agent for a chat session, the user can select which data and actions that agent should use instead of “All data and apps”. This effective reuses the instructions without tying them to proprietary data.

The ability to share a custom chat agent that is connected to a space is possible, but the users will also need at least viewer access to the space in order for them to use the space with the custom agent. I would agree it would be a nice feature to have the ability to attach a space to a custom agent but only share access to the agent.
