Hello,
I’m trying to create alerts for my pivot table. The measures/values are all calculated values for some stores. I want to display 7 day change in values along with the actual values- from the last 7 days until today. I have parameters in place to get Today’s Date and the Date 7 Days Ago.
When I create an alert for this, the bell icon does not show and I’m not able to create alerts. Any ideas on how I can do this?
Hello @Prajakta, I have 2 quick questions so I can help guide you towards a solution. Are you on the Enterprise Edition of QuickSight? This is specifically a feature that has been added to those accounts. Also, are you using an embedded version of QuickSight? If so, the alert feature will also not be active in that use-case.
Here is some documentation I found from AWS with information about the release of the alerts feature on tables and pivot tables, this might help you as well if neither of the items I mentioned previously are relevant to you.
Hi @DylanM, yes I am on the Enterprise Edition of Quicksight. And no, I am not using an embedded version.
So basically, I can create an alert for a continuous measure.
But when I’m trying to create an alert for a calculated measure, it does not show me an option to do so.
Hello @Prajakta, would you be able to send calculated field functionality you wrote for the Diff in RO Volume? I am curious if there is something there that would help me understand why the alert option isn’t populating. Another thought is check to see if removing the conditional formatting on the field changes anything. I don’t think it will solve the issue but it is worth trying just in case.
Hello @Prajakta, I haven’t been able to find any documentation saying that but I think you are correct.
At AWS, our roadmap is primarily driven by our customers. Your feedback helps us build a
better service. Since this functionality is not currently available, I have tagged this as a feature request. Thank you!
