Are scheduled emails for dashboards based on SPICE based on a real-time data refresh?

Hi All.

I have a dashboard based on SPICE datasets that are refreshed daily at 7AM. I am scheduling a daily email report that goes out to recipients at 10AM.

  • Will the recipients receive a report that was run on 10AM, and the results sent to them?
  • Or, will they receive a report with data based on the latest 7AM SPICE run?

Hi @siddhuorama - Welcome to the community.
Current data in SPICE will be used to generate the report when the event occurs.

In your use case, report will use data in SPICE at 10AM. So if SPICE was refreshed at 7AM and no other changes occurred to data set till 10AM, then the report will contain the refreshed data as of 7AM.

Is there a way to trigger. Spice refresh based on the scheduled email rather then guessing a time close to the email to run a refresh?
