Athena database name change breaks Dataset import

Hi there,

In Quick Sight, I have several Datasets imported through Athena, using different tables of the same database. For designing reasons, I changed the database name, so refreshing the data in Quick Sight now breaks with the following error:

MetadataException: Database ‘stackanalyzerpoc’ not found. (Service: AmazonDataCatalog; Status Code: 400; Error Code: EntityNotFoundException

As the schema and tables did not change, just the database name did, is there any way to fix the import and refreshing of the data without needing to create new datasets and having to build all the dashboards in my analysis from scratch?

Thanks in advance.

when you try to create a new dataset, you can scroll down, then you can see your existing data sources. In there, you can modify the data source connection info.

Can see if it works? thanks

Thank you for your response.

I could reassign the data sources to the same / renamed database. But it created new Datasets in the list, instead of updating the existing ones.

can share some screenshots on how you reassign the data source?

If not, please feel free to share persistent issues that you are encountering. If we do not hear back within the next 3 business days, I’ll go ahead and close out of this topic.

Thank you!
