Automating Filter for Real-Time Package Scanning and Self-Clearing

Hi everyone!

I have a dashboard displaying the real-time number of packages from a specific location that need to be scanned and picked up within the operation. Currently, I’m using a standard text filter where a package is scanned and searched within the dashboard’s database. However, this causes significant inconvenience as it requires manually deleting the entered value and pressing enter to perform the search. Is there a way to create a filter in QuickSight that automatically searches the database when a value is entered and, after finding it, clears the filter value?

Hi @arthmg and welcome to the QuickSight community!
While this type of filter functionality would be useful, unfortunately QuickSight does not support a feature along these lines. As the system uses a filter/control normally determines which value(s) to show within a visual, emptying out that control would tell the system no fields are being searched; it does not have the ability to back catalogue your searches.

I will mark this as a feature request to promote visibility to the support team.
