Hi Team,
I have a problem about my dashboard on quicksight.
I login with “amazonbi” and I created an dashboard last year. But it goes wrong from June. And it shows a notice like this.
I spent a lot of time but still don’t know how to fix it. Who can tell me what’s the problem and what do I need to do? Thank you so much!
Hi @Qing - welcome to the QuickSight community
From the screenshot, it looks like an access problem and not a sql problem, where the ‘quicksight_viewer’ is not authorized to assume the IAM role it is trying to assume…
Are you using custom SQL query within QuickSight with Redshift data source and are assuming any IAM role as part of the custom query?
Hi @Qing . Checking in. We have not heard back from you regarding your question. We’d still like to help. If we do not hear back in the next 7 days, we will archive the question.
Hi Team,
sorry for late reply due to I’ve been on National Holiday last week.
As to your question about"Are you using custom SQL query within QuickSight with Redshift data source and are assuming any IAM role as part of the custom query?"
I use custom SQL query within Quicksight to extract data from mobility database but what does the IAM role mean?
Hello @Qing, were you able to query RedShift and ingest your dataset into QuickSight? Like @SD_QS mentioned, it looks like you have an access rights issue related to your account and may need to update your privileges. If you were able to fix the issue, what did you do to resolve it?
