Can you move a Dataset to use Direct Query?

Can you move a Dataset to use Direct Query if it is currently using SPICE?

Welcome to the QuickSight Community, it is great having you here.

You can do this when you are editing the dataset, in the bottom left you can select the Query Mode.

Thanks for your quick response. I tried to do this but I cannot see the options you have shown in the screen capture

You cannot see direct query in your case because your data source type is S3. These are loaded directly into SPICE, they cannot be directly queried.

If you have the S3 data loaded into an Athena table, then you could use direct query using Athena.
