Change the default settings of a number field

Hi there,

As documented in this page, it is possible to change the separators as well as the currency symbols, however this has to be done manually for every number field.

I would like to know whether it is possible to change the global default setting for separators as well as currency symbols so that the users won’t need to go to every single field to make the changes?

Hi @kkc818,
You can adjust the overall format for a value by clicking on the ellipses (3 dots) next to the field name and then select ‘more formatting options’:

From here, you can change the separators, symbols, etc. By doing this from the ‘Data’ column, it will adjust on any visuals where that field is being used.

thanks for getting back to me. While this is the way to manually change the settings of the specific number field, it is quite tedious to do it repetitively when there are numerous fields to change.

I would like to know whether there is a way to either change the default settings so that the user won’t need to manually change the settings for every number field?

Upon some further research, it does not look like setting a default option for your fields is currently an available feature within QS. I agree that this would be a nice addition though so I’ll mark this as a feature request to promote visibility to the support team.
