Colours in Pie charts are the same when filtered

Hi all,

This is a silly question but a client has asked us if we can keep the colours between items in charts consistent. Currently, if we let them filter in a control, the filtered colours change depending on the items selected. Is there anyway to make sure this doesn’t occur? i.e. if Admin is selected in the dropdown, it keeps the same colour regardless in a pie chart

QuickSight team is planning to improve color assignment in the future so that you and other users don’t need to ask this questions.

At the moment, to get the same color after filtering or resorting the data, one needs to specify an explicit color for each pie slice. Click on every item in the legend, in the context menu you will see “Color {SomeValue}”. Click on it and pick a color yourself.
