As of Feb 8, 2024, in analyses for the “new look”, after adding field descriptions to a dataset, field descriptions do not appear in the analysis fields list when a user clicks the three dots for an individual field. They also do not appear in the analysis fields list when hovering over field/column names.
In the “old look”, field descriptions do appear in the analysis field list when a user clicks the three dots for an individual field, assuming that the field descriptions have been added to the associated dataset.
It appears to me that field descriptions are only available in the “old look” analyses and in the dataset itself, yet both [1] and [2] state that “this metadata is visible in both datasets and analyses.”
Is it possible to view field descriptions in “new look” analyses? If so, how?
If not, will this feature be added to the new look, and what will be the ETA to add this feature back?
