Ok, I have a request that I’m trying to fulfill and I think that Quicksight straight up cannot support it… but I’m not 100% sure.
I have data that looks like the image attached… I changed all the aggregations to count, so I don’t expose the actual numbers, but generally, they are integers that would be summed.
I have two columns, Store_Group and Comptype. I actually want to hide both of those columns for the final dashoard, and only show the EndOfMonthDt and Store_Label. I want to have subtotals for Store_Group.
So far, so good. I can get that far.
However, the requester has an additional request. They want that same visual to ALSO have totals at the bottom, but within that total, it would have Two lines:
Total Of All
Subtotal where Comptype = ‘Comp’
I don’t think this is possible… but if it is, how do I do it? They are currently exporting the chart to excel, and then manually manipulating it to email to other stakeholders with the additional row
@salim Yes, exactly, but I ONLY want it to show up in the Grand Total section. I do not want the COMPTYPE column in the pivot, I don’t want an additional column that has the formula in it, AND I do not want the formula to show up as a subtotal under any section.
That’s the part I can’t seem to figure out. I can write the metric.
I can get the data into the graph, but I cannot get the formatting look how the requester wants it to look. They want it in one table, because they export it and use it elsewhere… I’ve already tried the route of using two tables and exporting as a pdf.
Hi @TRube, sorry, currently it’s not possible, marking this as feature request. At AWS, our roadmap is primarily driven by our customers. Your feedback helps us build a better service. I have tagged this as a feature request. More features are being added on a regular basis, so please keep an eye on the What’s New / Blog .
